Legacy Into Language

Writing Family Stories Workshop at Montalvo

March 26 | 2-4pm

Language lets us choose how our legacy travels across generations. Montalvo Literary Arts Committee presents a workshop on writing family stories led by Hilary King, Nancy Meyer, and Stephanie Pressman, members of Salt & Poetry Collective.

Please bring an object connected to family. It can be a photo, a letter, a teapot, a tie pin--anything. We will use this object as a springboard for guided writing, listening, and small-group sharing.  Together we’ll touch on the  motivations and approaches to writing family stories. All are welcome.
