Putting Legacy Into Language
Writing Family Stories
March 26 | 1–3 pm
Language lets us choose how our legacy travels across generations. Montalvo Literary Arts Committee presents a workshop on writing family stories led by Salt & Poetry, a collective of four poets: Hilary King, Veronica Kornberg, Nancy Meyer, and Stephanie Pressman.
Please bring an object connected to family. It can be a photo, a letter, a teapot, a tie pin--anything. We will use this object as a springboard for guided writing, listening, and small-group sharing. Together we’ll touch on the motivations and approaches to writing family stories. All are welcome.
Registration opens soon.
